So you’ve decided to go to that Halloween thing you were undecided about or maybe you got invited to a party last minute. Either way, here are 10 cheap, easy, and fast costumes that you can throw together the day before it’s your time to shine.
- Miranda Sings
Not going to lie, I’m not a huge Miranda Sings fan. Something about that kind of humor I just don’t get, but that doesn’t deny the fact that this is one of the easiest costumes to throw together last minute. Put on a homely purple sweatshirt and that iconic mess of red lipstick and you’re golden.
2. Eleven (Stranger Things)
Pink dress, puffy jacket, waffles, blonde wig, fake nose bleed, and ba-boom.
I have no pictures for this. Just get some face paint and make yourself look like a scarecrow. Maybe tape some straw to your clothes to make it look like it’s coming out. It’s not rocket science. Heres a tutorial!
4. Beanie Baby
For this just get one of those giant animal heads or get an animal onesie at Walmart and then make yourself a tag out of construction paper. Or go even simpler and paint your nose black and add an animal ear headband. I mean seriously, what is scarier than the idea that you too could be collecting something that will be worthless in 30 years.
Okay so yeah maybe this costume is going to feel like beating a dead horse when literally everyone you know has probably dressed up as a minion at some point in the past 4 years. But, like, it’s easy and you most likely already have the stuff to do it. So, it’s an option.
Dwight’s suit and mustard shirt I’m pretty sure it just standard stock at almost any thrift store. Give yourself a good middle part and a pair of dollar store reading glasses and you’ll get plenty of costume love with this one.
7. Prom/Wedding Zombie
This is by far my favorite idea because I LOVE costume makeup. All you need for this is your old prom dress, or just any formal wear from a thrift store, and some fake blood. Feel free to check out this awesome tutorial on how to do wounds without liquid latex!
Okay but who doesn’t love Rey? She’s awesome. She’s just so cool. Simply wrap yourself up with a gray sheet and belt it over some sweatpants; then grab a couple of those wrist or ankle wraps for strained joints and wrap them down your arms.
To be honest I may have only included this as an option because Arthur was my favorite show growing up. I don’t know. But all you need it a yellow sweater over a white button down and some construction paper glasses. Easiest there is!
10. Rosie the Riveter
One of the most classic and easiest costumes there is. Throw on that denim shirt, roll it up, wrap your hair in a bandana and take that Halloween party by storm!
